About Theresa
In her role as consultant to corporations and non profit organizations, or as a sought after media spokesperson or industry expert, Registered Nutritionist, Food Coach and author, Theresa Albert delivers a consistently clear message…

"We need to find simple and easy ways to make food as beautiful, sensible and as healthful as we want the rest of our lives to be!"
Theresa's ability to communicate comes from a passion for simple and economically sound answers to today's food, health and nutritional challenges. She educates people on the easy ways to make small food changes which lead to great, healthy results through various mediums.  In private practice as a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner at The Toronto Clinic, a private corporate preventative medical facility, she encourages true change in very motivated people.

An entrepreneur, Theresa started her personal chef business: Thyme For Supper in 1995. Realizing that she could have more impact by teaching people how to fit the important job of preparing meals into their busy lives she set out to give them the proper tools. It was then that wrote and published her best selling cookbook Cook Once a Week, Eat Well Every Day (HarperCollins Canada/Marlowe Press U.S.). This cookbook and guide continues to help North Americans streamline their food attitudes and get delicious and nutrient rich meals on the table, in real time, saving real dollars.

Recognized for both her knowledge and engaging ability to communicate to individuals and audiences resulted in Theresa hosting Food Network Canada's popular show Just One Bite: a daily television show where she taught parents to feed their kids better while not giving up on their own plate.

Being an advocate of children's health and wellness also lead to her current appointment as one of the  judges of the coveted LIVERright Awards, a contest sponsored by the Canadian Liver Foundation in an effort to fight obesity deliciously with healthy, ready food products.

Next up for her is her book Ace Your Health, 52 Ways to Stack Your Deck. Theresa synthesizes and simplifies the vast amount of health information available into a once a week program.  Here she cleverly uses the fact that there are 52 weeks in a year and 52 cards in a deck.  By grouping the changes and ordering the cards this book walks us through our own lives and engages change in a ridiculously fun and creative way.  Published by McClelland and Stewart, expect  to get started on a path to Ace Your Health in January 2011.

The guidance Theresa provides is realistic, concrete and geared toward helping those who love to eat and learn how to have it all. Her sensible and honest approach to cooking and all things food resonates with all who struggle to get health and wellness into their busy daily routines. Through all of these efforts she continues to educate her self so that her message remains clear and those she engages with become "as beautiful, sensible and as healthful" as they can be.
